The skills and experiences from three companies, each with a long tradition in the field of engineering, can now be combined.
GELUS GmbH
GELUS GmbH has been active for more than 40 years in the field of engineering for special design industrial gearboxes (e.g. gearbox series for ski- lifts and ropeways, single and double screw extruders, mixers, waste-water plants, silo plants). GELUS has never had its own production facility and most of the engineering work was contracted out to well-known gearbox and plant manufacturers.
GSL Getriebeservice s.r.o.
GSL Getriebeservice s.r.o. (CZ) came along in 2008, focusing on engineering for industrial gearboxes in close cooperation with GELUS and more and more specializing in gearbox repairs, main overhauls of all kinds and brands of industrial and wind turbine gearboxes.
All our engineers, technicians and assemblers came from a large, well-known gearing and gearbox manufacturer in Brno to GSL. In 2015 some business contacts opened up the opportunity to enter the field of railway gearbox repairs and contract assemblies in Germany and in the Brno plant for a German customer.
So far GSL assemblers have repaired and manufactured more than 2500 railway gearboxes. This was only possible because of the well-trained and very experienced assemblers, technicians and planners in GSL. Engineers in GSL were also working on a contract basis for other gearbox producers.
SHW Storage & Handling Solutions GmbH
From now on SHW Storage & Handling Solutions GmbH is taking over most of the above described activities and long-term business relations while adding its own history as a large company with a fine tradition and wealth of experience as a well-known plant manufacturer worldwide. SHW Storage & Handling Solutions GmbH and GELUS have been working together for more than 40 years, and with GSL for the last 12 years.
